Object audio · live & reactive · no licence fees

Spatial audio
that stays alive.

Every sound stays a discrete object with its own position, motion and metadata — from the studio all the way to the listener's ear. Nothing is flattened into a rendered mix.

That is saimox.

What is saimox

saimox is a three-dimensional sound format — and the standalone workstation that makes it.

This is where you finally build the space you have been hearing in your head. Sounds that move where you want them, in a real room measured in metres or an endless free space, with a freedom you never had in a stereo picture.

What you build travels intact. Every sound stays its own object all the way to whoever is listening, whatever they are listening on. So what arrives is what you imagined — on their headphones, their soundbar, their car, their room, their…

And whoever you send it to just opens it. Free player, any device, no account, nothing to install on their side.

saimox is not a DAW and does not want to be. Your session stays where it is. You finish there, the way you always have, and bring the result here. And now the magic starts — in space and time.

What it does, and who it is for

The difference

Rendered is finished. Alive keeps going.

Every immersive format decides everything at export. Objects may survive the file, but they stop being objects at the speaker — what arrives is a photograph of your room, taken once, from one position, for one layout.

Rendered

A photograph of a room

The mix is baked before it leaves. Playback replays a decision made months earlier.

  • Objects collapse into a fixed speaker layout
  • Playback cannot know where the listener is
  • One master per target layout
  • Height virtualised by the player, not authored
  • Licence fees on every decoder shipped
Alive

The room itself, still running

Objects arrive as objects. Position, motion and rules travel with the audio and resolve at playback.

  • Each object stays individually addressable and streamable
  • Objects react to sensors, environment, session and biometrics
  • One file adapts to any layout it lands on
  • Motion is described, not pre-baked into channels
  • No fee from us to decode it, codec agnostic

Who it is for

One format. Very different rooms.

From somebody mixing on headphones at two in the morning to a post house delivering cinema IAB — and to manufacturers who want it in a device. Some of this is shipping today, some is a door the reactive layer opens that nobody has walked through yet. Both are stated as what they are.

The room

Every sphere is one sound.

Not a channel, not a pan position — a source sitting somewhere, with its own audio and its own metadata. Click one to select it, drag it to move it, orbit to reach the other axes.

128 of them, at once. Size follows level, colour follows the group, the lines are the paths they travel. Nothing here has been folded down yet — and on the listener's device it still will not be.

While you work

You can see the mix, not just hear it.

Two views a channel-based tool cannot offer, because it has no objects left to show: where the energy actually landed over the whole piece, and every source in one table.

Newsletter

Hear about it when it matters.

A short mail when there is something worth reading: a release that changes how you work, a format that opens up, a player on a new platform. Nothing on a schedule, nothing that arrives just because a week went by.

A few mails a year, never more than one a month. Stored by Desteba Productions S.L. for that purpose alone, never passed to anyone else, and deleted the moment you unsubscribe — one click, in every mail. See the privacy notice.
